1/2 lb beef (stew meat or thinly sliced flank steak)
5 cups beef broth
1 cup egg noodles (or ramen, soba, or rice noodles)
1 carrot, thinly sliced
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp soy sauce
